Spring Shoe Trends: Pointed Flats

Since the weather is getting a little bit warmer, and the layers are getting a little bit lighter, it’s also time to finally put away those overly worn boots you’ve been sporting all winter long. I still have yet to do so, and considering I am writing this post while wearing my go-to combat boots, I think it’s time to finally hang them up. Or at least just throw them in the back of my closet until next year. In order to do so, I need to shop for spring shoes first! Which brings me to the first spring shoe trend I will be looking to flaunt – the pointed flat. These are literally everywhere and come in so many different colors, textures, patterns and prints. Personally, I’ll be on the lookout for a classic black pair, and maybe a more of-the-moment floral pair. Here are some I’ve had my eye on:

Current Drugstore Favorites

Happy Happy April! As you may be able to tell by my lack of posting, I've been in hibernation for most of the winter. Now that it's actually spring, I've decided to crawl out of my little dark cave and get back to blogging. I'll admit my makeup has been sort of on the simple side the past few months and I've definitely been slacking on trying out new products or completing a full face of makeup in the morning (but that's part of hibernation, right?). Anyways, I figured I'd start with the basics and share some of the products I use everyday. Now, there are a few higher-end items that I still work into my everyday beauty routine; however, majority are from the drugstore, and I must say, my wallet is very happy about that. Keep on scrollin' to see the drugstore products that I currently <3.

This has been a go-to foundation of mine for a while now. Lately I've been wearing a really natural face of makeup - and this product goes on light, still gives decent coverage and seems to last for most of the day. I've been mixing one pump of this foundation with a little bit of MAC primer, which also helps it last a little longer.

I have been missing this product from my life for too long. It finally was in stock at my local drugstore (I use the shade fair, which seems to be quite popular) and have been using it every single day. It goes on so light and smooth, yet still gives you the coverage you need. Amazing quality product for a drugstore find.

I purchased this bronzer as a dupe for the Lorac Tantilizer (which I cannot compare since I've never actually tried it). However, I am completely satisfied with this one by Milani. I've been a fan of Milani's baked bronzers in the past, so I figured why not give this one a go. All you need is a little bit on the cheeks, forehead and neck for an instant warm glow.

I've been hearing great things about this mascara, especially for added volume and finally decided to try it out. Part of my whole "natural" makeup look has been ditching eyeshadow and just wearing mascara. This particular product really helps open up my eyes while giving my lashes the length and volume they need. I apply 2 coats of this baby and my eyes are all set!

I am in love with this color for spring! I always like to have a seasonal "when in doubt" color to paint my nails, and this gorgeous polish is definitely my go-to for spring.

The story behind purchasing this texture spray is that my drugstore ran out of the Not Your Mother's dry shampoo, and I really didn't feel like trying a different brand at that moment. I figured I'd just spray some of this at my roots and sort of use it as a temporary replacement. Although I still need to replace my dry shampoo, I actually really like the volume and texture this spray gives my hair. I especially like to use it after I'm done blowdrying and curling my hair. If you're looking for volume at the roots, definitely pick this up!
