Night Out: What to Wear

Happy Friday! Tonight I am getting together with some of my closest friends for dinner and drinks. When we go out, we typically all wear outfits that are a mix between dressy and casual; however, I have not yet decided on what I am going to wear. I browsed through my closet and came up with three possible options so far. Although the items in the below pictures are not the exact items I actually own, they are all very similar. If you're not sure what to wear tonight either, look below for some inspiration! And help a girl out - let me know which one is your favorite :)

Top 5 Fall Essentials featuring Raise.com

Happy Fall Everyone! According to my google search, the Autumnal Equinox brings us into the fall season tonight around 10:30 PM Eastern time. Today, I just so happen to have an entire post dedicated to fall. I was inspired by a company called Raise.com to create a post featuring my top 5 essentials for the fall season. If you haven't yet heard of Raise.com, it's the first online marketplace to buy and sell gift cards where you can buy them at a discounted price or sell them for other gift cards or cash. I am a huge fan of gift cards! I always tell people that when in doubt, just get me a gift card to one of my favorite stores. However, there are those times when I get a gift card at places I typically don't shop, which is where Raise comes in and saves the day. I'm able to sell my unwanted gift card and in return get a different gift card to a place where I'll actually use it. Win-win! There's also a ton of e-gift cards that you can buy for a discounted price, so before you online shop without a promo code (I never buy anything online without a discount code or at least free shipping), you'll be able to get that discount through Raise! Be sure to check them out right here and check out my top 5 fall essentials below!

September Beauty Haul

At the beginning of every month, I typically post a wish list filled with beauty items that I'd love to have magically appear on my vanity. Since this is the real world, and I like to think I am a responsible adult who doesn't compulsively purchase things I don't necessarily need, I try to limit myself to only actually purchasing a few of those items. From that September beauty wish list (see it here), there are two items I went through with purchasing. All other items are either repurchases of products I ran out of and love dearly, or consist of products I recently ran out of but this time around I'm trying a different brand. Keep on reading for details!

Links Below!

1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - If you've been on this blog before, you definitely will recognize this mascara as a repurchase. I love using this mascara for my second coat for ultra volume.

2. NYX HD Concealer - Here we have the second repurchased item. This is definitely my favorite undereye concealer at the moment. I love that it is so affordable!

3. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold - This is one of the items from my September beauty wishlist. I've heard so many great things about this particular highlighter and for good reason. It leaves a beautiful sheen to the cheekbones and works great with my skin tone.

4. Not Your Mother's She's a Tease Volumizing Hairspray - Since I like other products from this brand, I figured I try out this new hairspray. So far, so good! I'm loving the apple blossom and bamboo scent.

5. Too Faced Perfect Lips Lip Liner in The Perfect Nude - This item was also on my September beauty wishlist. I was looking for a lip pencil that I could use to fill in my entire lip for a matte effect that wasn't too drying. This lip pencil does just that. I absolutely love the color too! It's the perfect pink-nude.

6. Batiste Dry Shampoo - I've heard a lot of great things about this dry shampoo, so I thought I'd give it a try since I ran out of my Not Your Mother's dry shampoo. It does the job, however, I can't spray it too close to my head or I'll get that white hair look. Next time, I think I'll just stick to the Not Your Mother's brand, which has my favorite dry shampoo and never turns my hair white.

Falling for Fall

Although it is not officially fall just yet, I can't stop browsing for fall fashion pieces and beauty trends. I've been living on Pinterest, pinning everything from plaid blouses to pumpkin glazed donuts. Everywhere you look people are prepping for fall - whether it be at your local Starbucks (pumpkin spice latte's really are that good), in your favorite magazines (Elle and Vouge's huge September issues), or on a trip to Homegoods (current Halloween overload), you can't help but start to get excited for the upcoming sweater-weather season. Below you will see some pieces I've got my eye on for fall. Think berry tones, animal print, and layers upon layers of jewelry.
